Truly Life and Death

I haven't run since last Saturday. And I may not for several days.

Life has intervened. Life and death, actually.

Jenny's father lost his battle with cancer late last night. It's much better for him, but still very sad for the family.

And, yesterday, my son and his wife had their 3rd child. So, I'm a grandpa again. Baby Ray I was lucky enough to be there and see the baby just minutes after he was born.

So, for a while, running will have to take a back seat to living.

Congratulations on your new grandbaby, and tell Jenny so many of us are thinking about her and her family...

My prayers are with Jenny. And a blessing to you and your grandchild. At times like this -running momentarily stops but will always be there.

I'm so sorry for your loss, and so happy for your new addition. May you have many love-filled years with your newest grandchild.

If you get the chance to respond or edit your post, I too am trying to figure out the wife/son baby thing. Son and daughter-in-law maybe? With everything that's been going on it's understandable that the words didn't come out right!

John,

My sympathy and prayers are with you.

I don't know how you are handling not running. It is the only thing that has gotten me through a similiar week.
